Bongkoj Khongmalai stars as Jan Dara in 'Jan Dara pathommabot' (2012), a period film set in 1930s Thailand. The story revolves around Jan's tumultuous upbringing under his sadistic father, Luang Wisnan, and his struggles to cope with the loss of his mother during childbirth. Jan grows up with his stepmother, Aunt Wad, and grapples with guilt and longing, navigating relationships with various women, including Hyacinth, whom he adores, and Madame Boonleung, who becomes a catalyst for Jan's sexual awakening.
