Britney Jean Spears, born December 2, 1981, is an American singer known as the 'Princess of Pop'. She began her career at age fifteen after signing with Jive Records. Spears' debut album, ...Baby One More Time (1999), and its follow-up Oops!... I Did It Again (2000) are among the best-selling albums of all time, making Spears the best-selling teenage artist. She evolved her style on Britney (2001) and In the Zone (2003), starring in Crossroads (2002). Blackout (2007), executive-produced by Spears, is considered one of her best works. Post-Blackout, she faced personal issues leading to a conservatorship. Despite this, she released successful albums like Circus (2008) and Femme Fatale (2011), and had a residency in Las Vegas from 2013-2017. Spears' conservatorship battle gained public attention in 2019 with the #FreeBritney movement, culminating in its termination in 2021 after her testimony. Regarded as a pop icon, Spears has sold over 100 million records worldwide and earned numerous awards.
