Dominique Laffin, born on June 3, 1952 in Saint-Mandé, France, was a French actress who appeared in 19 films between 1975 and 1985. She gained critical acclaim for her role in Jacques Doillon's 'La Femme qui pleure' (1979), earning a César Award nomination for Best Actress. She also co-starred with Roberto Benigni in 'Chiedo asilo'. Laffin's career was cut short at the age of 33 due to a massive heart attack, although her daughter later suggested suicide without definitive confirmation. During her career, she worked alongside many notable French actors like Gérard Depardieu, Juliette Binoche, Miou-Miou, and Yves Montand. She is buried near François Truffaut in Paris' Cimetière de Montmartre. Laffin's daughter, Clémentine Autain, was born in 1973.
