Katherine Waterston, born March 3, 1980 to British-American actor Sam Waterston, began her film career with a debut role in Michael Clayton (2007). She played supporting roles in films like Robot & Frank and Being Flynn before gaining recognition for her lead performance as Shasta Fay Hepworth in Inherent Vice (2014), based on Thomas Pynchon's novel. After this breakthrough, Waterston appeared in notable films such as Steve Jobs (2015) and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016), alongside roles in Alien: Covenant, Logan Lucky, The Current War, Mid90s, and The World to Come.
