Katie Holmes, born December 18, 1978 in Toledo, Ohio, rose to fame as Joey Potter on 'Dawson's Creek' (1998-2003). She transitioned between TV and film roles during hiatuses, notable movies including 'Go', 'Wonder Boys', and 'Phone Booth'. In her personal life, Holmes had a high-profile relationship with Tom Cruise, converting to Scientology, having a daughter Suri, and marrying in 2006. They divorced in 2012, with Holmes gaining custody of Suri and returning to Roman Catholicism. Post-divorce, she returned to acting in 'The Giver', 'Woman in Gold', and 'Logan Lucky', and debuted as a director with 'All We Had' (2016).
