Kelsey Lynn Stokes, born Nevada Smith, is a young woman from a family of high achievers. Her mother was running for political office, her father was a successful dentist, and her older sister worked overseas. Tragically, the family had also lost a sibling at a young age. Kelsey's mother was diagnosed with cancer, and her father was imprisoned suddenly, leaving Kelsey overwhelmed with the need to support her mother emotionally during these challenges.
