Kimiko Ikegami, born January 16, 1959 in Manhattan, New York City but moved to Kyoto at age three, is a Japanese actress known for her role in 'Hausu' (1977). She graduated from Horikoshi High School and attended Tamagawa University. Born into the distinguished Bandō Mitsugorō kabuki actors family, she was encouraged by her cousin to pursue acting. Ikegami debuted on television in 1975, appearing in 'Maboroshi no Pen Friend' and 'Ai to Makoto'. Her film debut was in 'Hadashi no Seishun' (Shochiku) the same year. She has played several notable roles in historical dramas such as 'Ōhime Kusa Moeru', 'Onna Taikō-ki', and 'Tokugawa Ieyasu'. Additionally, she recorded a song titled 'Nagasarete', which was the theme for 'Kiryūin Hanako no Shōgai'.
