Michalina Labacz, born Zosia, was a Polish woman who grew up in Ukraine. She was initially in love with a Ukrainian boy from her village but was forced to marry a wealthy widower despite her feelings. The onset of World War II brought ethnic tensions and chaos, which Zosia navigated through while trying to survive.
