Nathalie Boutefeu, born Sophie Moreau, lives in Briançon with her husband Christian, who is a teacher. The couple faces a difficult situation as their youngest child suffers from a severe genetic disease, causing tension between them. While Christian moves to Marseille to be closer to their sick child, Sophie stays in their apartment and cares for their older daughter, feeling guilty for transmitting the disease.
