Noémie Lvovsky, born December 14, 1964 in Paris, France, is a French film director, screenwriter, and actress of Jewish descent with roots tracing back to Ukraine. She studied cinema at La Fémis in Paris alongside Arnaud Desplechin, and has directed two films starring Emmanuelle Devos early in her career. Lvovsky is known for her six César Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress and one nomination for Best Film (Sentiments). Her film Camille redouble won the Prix SACD at Cannes Film Festival Directors' Fortnight section in 2012.
