Nozomi Andô, born as Ando Nozomi, started her career as an 'Oha Star girl' and a model for Nicola, known as 'Nicomom'. She debuted as an actress in 'Gamera 3: Iris Kakusei' (2000) and received notable awards such as the Mainichi Film Contest Sponichi Grand Prix Newcomer award for her role in 'Sakuya Youkaiten'. Andô also won the Third Nihon Digital Video Grand Prix for best actress. She began singing independently in 1999 before making her major debut with Crowd Record in 2001. However, she shifted focus to acting and hasn't recorded music since 2003. In her personal life, Andô got married five years after her last musical release and gave birth to her first child a year later.
