Australian actress Mary Rose Byrne was born on July 24, 1979. She began her acting career in Australia during the 1990s, making her screen debut in 'Dallas Doll' (1994). Her breakthrough role came with 'The Goddess of 1967' (2000), for which she won the Volpi Cup for Best Actress. This led to international roles like Dormé in 'Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones' (2002). Byrne gained critical acclaim and nominations for her role as Ellen Parsons in the series 'Damages' (2007-2012). She has since appeared in various films and TV shows, including comedic roles in 'Get Him to the Greek' (2010) and 'Bridesmaids' (2011), as well as dramatic roles in 'Insidious' (2010) and its sequel. Byrne also portrayed Gloria Steinem in 'Mrs. America' (2020) and led comedy series like 'Physical' (2021-2023). She has been in a relationship with American actor Bobby Cannavale since 2012, and they have two sons together.
