Shari Solanis, born December 13, 1977, in Pennsylvania, is an American actress who grew up in a Jewish neighborhood of Philadelphia with her mother and stepfather. She maintained close ties with her Vietnam veteran father. Showing an early passion for arts and song, Shari joined a girl's choir at age 12 and discovered drama during her teens. After graduating from the Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts, she moved to New York to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She starred in 'Mister' with Anthony Rapp and appeared on TV/movies while remaining active in theater. Shari later moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting and singing, eventually landing a strong role as Angela in Philippe Diaz's film 'Now & Later' (2007), earning praise from the New York Times for her performance.
