Storia
Jack Cates (Nick Nolte), a hard-nosed detective in San Francisco, captures fugitive Reggie Hammond (Eddie Murphy) after a wild chase through the city streets. When prison guard Billy bear kills a prisoner to cover up his own corruption, Reggie becomes the prime suspect. To track down Billy Bear and clear Reggie's name, Jack reluctantly agrees to a 48-hour parole for Reggie, hoping that his knowledge of the criminal underworld will help catch the real killer.
