Trama
Allyson leaves her boyfriend Peter and moves to Los Angeles to pursue acting. She rents a room from grumpy Mr. Merry next to Bridget, a sex worker. During the day, Allyson struggles with her acting lessons under Eric Constantine's tutelage while at night she watches Bridget entertaining clients through the keyhole. In class, she meets photographer Jerry who offers to shoot her portfolio. Eric assigns them an intimate scene rehearsal which escalates into Jerry attempting to rape Allyson in her apartment. Bridget intervenes and saves Allyson, leading to Jerry's expulsion from the class. Eric continues to rehearse Allyson for a real film role, prompting her to seek advice from Bridget about sex work. One night, Allyson hears noises from Bridget's room but cannot enter. The next day, Bridget is missing and Jerry arrives, attempting to kill Allyson.
