Trama
Normal People follows Marianne and Connell, two teenagers from different social backgrounds who meet at their secondary school in County Sligo, Ireland. Marianne is an intellectual outcast but academically brilliant; her home life is troubled due to her dismissive mother Denise and resentful brother Alan. Her father's abusive past is not spoken about. Connell, meanwhile, is popular, athletic, and from a working-class family; his mother Lorraine works for Denise as a cleaner.
