Storia
Professor Alceo Bandini and his wife Leda take a holiday in Cappadocia where they meet Shahid, an enigmatic cleric, and Ludovico Vicedomini, a gem merchant. Upon returning to Rome, Alceo becomes suspicious of their new acquaintances' politics due to his past experiences with Islamic fundamentalism, including surviving a terrorist attack in Kenya that cost him both legs. Ludovico attempts to seduce Leda while Alceo's suspicions grow stronger. Despite his concerns, the police counter-terrorists dismiss Alceo's fears as paranoia and jealousy.
