Storia
Julia, an alcoholic struggling to keep her life together after losing her job, attends an AA meeting where she meets Elena, a woman with a desperate plan to kidnap her own son from his wealthy grandfather. Elena, believing her estranged husband has left their son a fortune in Mexico, sees this as her chance to secure their future. Julia, initially reluctant but drawn to the promise of easy money, agrees to help. They execute a reckless scheme to abduct the boy, Tom, during a family gathering. However, once they cross into Mexico with Tom, they discover Elena's husband has no connection to the country's drug trafficking scene, and her hopes for wealth are dashed. Julia then decides to ransom Tom herself, using Elena's old plan for delivering the ransom money as leverage against Elena. The situation spirals out of control as dangerous criminals become involved, threatening not only their lives but also Tom's.
