Storia
Marthe (1997) begins with young Simon (Guillaume Depardieu), a soldier during World War I, getting wounded in the trenches and evacuated to a Brittany hospital. While recuperating, he meets Marthe (Clotilde Courau), a schoolteacher living in the household of the hospital's head doctor (Bernard Giraudeau). The two eventually fall in love.
Riassunto
Marthe is a French war drama directed by Jean-Loup Hubert, released in 1997. Set during World War I, it tells the story of Simon, a young soldier who finds love with Marthe, a schoolteacher, while recovering from his injuries at a Brittany hospital. The cinematography was handled by Kevin Jewison, son of director Norman Jewison.
