Alissa Dean is an NYU graduate with a Bachelor of Music and Performing Arts who has successfully transitioned from commercials and regional theatre to working in television and film in Los Angeles. In the series Californication, she played the character Rachel in the 2013 episode "Hell Bent for Leather".
In addition to her acting career, Dean is an accomplished screenwriter. She was a semi-finalist for her first screenplay, the indie comedy "Cricket", in the prestigious Academy Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting, placing in the top 1% of all entries. Her career also includes guest appearances in other TV shows such as Parenthood, Awake, Without a Trace, and Cold Case. Her stage play "Survivors" had its world premiere in Los Angeles in January 2014.
