Biografia Completa
Anna Prucnal, born on December 17, 1940, in Warsaw, Poland, is a Polish actress and singer of French nationality with roots tracing back to Poland. After her father's death during World War II, she was raised by her mother who descended from the 18th-century King of Poland Stanislas Leszczyński. Prucnal started her acting career at the Studencki Teatr Satyryków in Warsaw and debuted in cinema at age 22 with 'Sun and Shadow'. In 1970, she moved to France for a theatrical career, working with renowned directors like Bertolt Brecht, Jorge Lavelli, and Georges Wilson. She gained notoriety for her role in Dusan Makavejev's 'Sweet Movie', which led to being banned from using her Polish passport due to its controversial content. Prucnal also pursued singing, releasing albums like 'Dream of West, Dream of East' and 'Monsieur Brecht'. Her autobiography, 'Moi qui suis née à Varsovie', was published in 2002.
