Lesley Manville, born March 12, 1956 in Brighton, England, is an award-winning British actress with extensive credits in film, television, and theater. She is known for her collaborations with director Mike Leigh, including 'Another Year' (2010) and 'All or Nothing' (2002). Manville received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 'Phantom Thread' (2017), and has also appeared in films like 'Maleficent' (2014) and 'Secrets & Lies' (1996). Her stage credits include 'As You Like It', 'Les Liaisons Dangereuses', and 'The Alchemist'. Manville's film debut was in 'Dance with a Stranger' (1985).
