Sara Cuncea is an emerging Romanian actress known for her work in both theatre and film. A graduate of the prestigious National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Acting in 2019 and completed her Master's degree in 2023, Cuncea has quickly established a diverse performance portfolio.
Her career trajectory includes significant collaborations with prominent Romanian cultural institutions. She has performed with the Ion Dacian National Operetta and Musical Theatre and the Metropolis Theatre, and currently holds a role at the National Theatre Bucharest (TNB), where her parts include Nina in a production of Chekhov's The Seagull, directed by Eugen Jebeleanu.
Cuncea's film credits feature roles in various productions, notably the 2018 film The Moromete Family (original title: Moromeții) and the 2023 biographical drama Mai departe (English title: This World is My Arena), in which she portrayed the character Sonia. She is also known for appearances in short films such as Tripuri (2022) and Wall (2015).
