"Radiant with sun-kissed skin, light-colored eyes, and chestnut tresses reminiscent of a mouse's coat, Susana Abaitúa has captivated audiences in Spain since her teenage years. Born in Vitoria-Gasteiz, the capital of the Basque Autonomous Community in Northern Spain near the French border, Susana began her acting career around 2008, appearing on both television and film.
She appeared in Spanish shows like Pelotas, Vida Loca, and La pecera de Eva, while also securing roles in films such as Bon Appétit (2010), Stockholm (2013), and Faraday (2013). However, her breakthrough came when she landed a leading role in the series Sé quién eres (I Know Who You Are) in 2017. The show's immense critical and commercial success propelled Susana to nationwide recognition.
In 2020, Susana made her debut on HBO España's Patria series, set in her native Basque country. Portraying a younger version of one of the women whose life is disrupted by the ETA terrorist organization, Susana delivers a powerful performance that includes a nude scene with her boyfriend. In this intimate moment, she assertively takes charge, riding atop him to momentarily escape the violence surrounding their community."
